Coming home with your picture taken in front of a great château is fun, but we want you to return with more than that. Rather than being shepherded from vineyard to vineyard by a tour guide whose basic qualifications are a driver's license and the ability to speak French, we'll put our knowledge of the region and its wines at your service to help you become a more savvy wine drinker. You'll come away enjoying Bordeaux like a true connoisseur.
On a visit organized with DMjWineworks, you and your companions are the only members of the tour. The itinerary is custom-tailored to reflect your interests, and to make the best use of your available time.
Château visits are arranged only after consultation with you. Depending on your preferences we'll take you to world-famous classed-growth vineyards whose wines are established legends, smaller producers in less well-known appellations producing true "finds" which offer great value for the money, or some of both!
With our guidance you'll arrive at each visit knowing preliminary information to better appreciate what's presented during the tour; afterwards, we'll help you to put it all in perspective to understand exactly why the winemaking you've just seen sets that château apart from the others.
You'll also receive a custom-made spiral-bound information package offering a primer on Bordeaux (grape varieties, classifications, regions, recent vintages) and profiles of the châteaux that you'll be visiting. In addition, if requested, suggestions for hotel accommodations and restaurant reservations are available.
